Having a portrait made of yourself is a strange idea. My team wrote a concept for it, and I approved it. It is called “Testing Limits”, and it is finished: eight chapters, a good 80 minutes in all. You can listen to it in one go or chapter by chapter.

The idea

Nine employees know their boss only from quick messages: written in lower case, often late, sometimes impatient, rarely with praise. They have never seen me. In the portrait they sit down at a table and try to piece the person together from my own words: a 67-year-old who was already retired and started again. Clara leads the conversation as host.

The title says where it is heading: to the places where I have reached limits, such as those of age, of money and of the machines I work with.

How it is built

The form

It is one long conversation, built from eight chapters. You can also listen to each chapter on its own. The model is a conversation that takes its time and is not cut for punchlines.
